HISTORY OF SOZO
The Bethel Sozo Ministry was birthed in Bethel Church, Redding, California in 1997 after the healing evangelist, Randy Clark’s ministry team taught prayer servants in Bethel Church a 10 step deliverance tool that was used very effectively by Pablo Batari in the revivals in Argentina.
Dawna de Silva used this very successfully in the prayer line and out of that was birthed Bethel Sozo Ministry, with the covering of Beni Johnson, the prayer pastor of Bethel Church. In addition to their tools, they also added tools from other mature ministries, eg. Dr. Ed Smith, the creator of Theophostics; and the famous Japanese brain specialist, Aiko Horman.
The Ministry expanded to many nations, and IBSO was created for the development of leaders and the distribution of the Bethel Sozo Ministry. In the process, Regional directors have been appointed in other countries.
WHAT IS SOZO?
This is a Holy Spirit-led inner healing and deliverance ministry where the person is helped to discover the lies they have believed about Father God, Jesus, or The Holy Spirit. Sozo ministry is a unique ministry aimed at getting to the root of things, the wounds, and lies hindering your personal connection with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
These wounds and lies prevent people from being able to deal with life. Sozo helps you find, develop and heal the reasons why may not have a good relationship with God the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. With a healed connection, you can walk in the destiny to which you have been called. So is not counseling and it is not a prayer ministry.
It is a team of people who help you find the root cause of the issues you face and help you deal with them by helping you make a connection with the Godhead and thus have a place to go to deal with all the issues and crises. It is also a deliverance ministry because healing the wounds and lies reveals why the enemy has legal access. Once you expose the lies and wounds, the enemy has to leave. The Bethel Sozo ministry originated from Bethel Church in Redding, California, and is led by Dawna DeSilva and Teresa Liebscher.
